Semi wireless camera.
This is a fine camera for my application. I'm into technology so setup was a breeze but when a friend got hers she had no problem setting it up without help. As a security camera it's fine, for anything else, not so much. The camera can be triggered by motion or audio. I found the motion detection to be pretty short range and it takes a few seconds for the recording to start. Often subjects magically appear just a few feet from the camera. There's a 2 minute limit on how long the recording goes. I don't use the audio. Pros: - Easy setup. - Good 1080P picture - Live view - Free basic on-line recording service - On-line setup and viewing is very easy. - Good night vision with the built-in LEDs. Cons: - 4-5 second delay between action and view. This is with 30Mb FIOS internet. - No Local camera monitoring. Your internet goes down, you get no recording or picture. No way to monitor camera locally from your own PC. - Short range motion detection even at max sensitivity. - Slow FPS recording. - Wireless refers to the video signal. You still have to have a power source close by. Overall, the product is as described and I can recommend it as a security device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A worth it cloud camera
The camera itself is quite small and light weight, the setup is dead simple: just plug it into a power outlet and you follow the app (on your smartphone) instructions. The live view quality is sharp, although there's 2-4 seconds delay from the actual event itself. I have one set up looking at the road approximately 40 feet from the road where I could get tag numbers of people coming down my dead end road. I cannot clearly see there tags otherwise i would give a higher rating. If you need to see things like tag numbrrs or other details? You might need to get a better camera. And yes, i do have it set to 1080p.

Arlo Q 1080 HD wireless security camera.
I bought this as an add on to my other Arlo. I put it at my lake house so I could check in to make sure all was okay... can check on my dog, and my husband when I am not there. We are older and if anything was to happen, I would be able to see. For instance, if he were to fall. It is a great addition. Great Security Camera
Having peace of mind is important. The ARLO Q allows me real time security monitoring when in live mode. When I am in monitoring mode I am alerted when motion/audio is detected by a beep on my phone. Easy to install on the ARLO base station. The clarity of the setting for 720p/1080p is fantastic. This is my third one I have installed and replaced them with my ARLO Pro. Would highly recommend however since the video is sent to the cloud it does take about a minute to download. Overall I enjoy the reliability of the ARLO Q. Run on your wireless and if cable does go out you loose the capability to have monitoring.
