    Perfect for the money

This switch is exactly what we needed and perfectly fine for the money. If I am forced to be critical I would say that it is not “spring assisted” and thus doesn’t have the feel of the 500 plus dollar models. This only means that you have to throw the blades in and feel them on your own to know it’s transferred as opposed to that sweet feel of assurance from the expensive ones. That said, this unit works perfectly fine and for a fraction of the cost I’ll take this one every day. Lastly as an installers note: the knockouts are on the bottom and all of the line side lugs are meant to be accessed from the top. This just means plan on an extra foot or so of cable so you can come in the bottom, make a loop to the top, and then down to each lug. It can be done without but required hard ...

  • Top critical review

Simple basic well made transferswitch. Gets the job done without a bunch of bells and whistles for a good price

Plenty of room in it for bending the wires around. Cover easily removes for easy installation. Made to last a life time. If installed where other people can get at it, should have a lock on the cover so it can not be opened by unauthorized people, because nothing inside is shielded from being touched. So shock hazard!

  • Just what I needed

I used this to switch the house power between two standby generators. Works great for switching 240 Vac. I ran the neutral to the buss-bar at the bottom, however I did need to create a suitable connection for the earth ground as there did not seem to be a good case ground.

  • Manual transfer switch

Fantastic for the money, very well built. Rugged for outdoors, easy to use and install. Save a fraction of the cost compared to other fancier ones.

  • Great MTS

The GE 100a Manual Transfer Switch is a great product. I have been using these for quite some time now. No issues and the price can't be beat for a 100a 2p N3R MTS.
