It was a replacement for the one that burned out. It's easy to replace. This is the 3rd one. It seems as though they only last 3 or 4 years. The heating element would be easy to change, but a replacement isn't available. I save the old tank, and im going to look for a heater that's respersible that might fit. Excellent Supplier Inferior but Necessary Part
The plastic treads can be stripped easily by the brass nut if not aligned properly. Manufacturer should supply with metal on metal fittings. However, this component is the only option available for installing this Insinkerator Instant Hot Water tank. Exactly what I needed
Exactly what I needed. Worked great. Some people commented about the price but $25-ish is way cheaper than a $400 new unit and the crazy under sink contortions to install a new tank.
