There's no markings of "genuine leather" anywhere on casing & it doesn't distinctively smell like leather. Basic design that comes with a lanyard & what seems to be a sturdy zipper. The sides are are slightly insulated and/or padded to help further protect your glasses & made of material that won't scratch your lenses. Black is true to color. It's a large sized case so I imagine it'll fit most glasses frame shapes & sizes.
