    Good winch but difficult to mount.

    Unfortunately the design of the fixing mounting is not really suitable for fixing to a boat trailer. directly in line with the boat connection. Also I feel it should be provided with an Anderson type connection in view of the high initial current draw. Similarly if fitted to the trailer main frame it would need an additional pulley to mount in line with the boat hook point. I am sure the winch side is excellent, but have yet to do a physical trial with the boat in the water.

    I-Max 3000lb 12v winch

    Wow l wasn't expecting the quality of this little workhorse. Everything looks and feels heavy duty and l'm pleasently surprised of my purchase. I'm planning to fit this winch to my boat trailer to assist with loading of my 4.75m bluefin tinnie and with the remote control l'll be able to stand at the rear of the boat keeping it straight while operating the winch!. Woohoo! 😎

    Trouble free and powerful

    A really excellent winch. Comes with two remote controls and a wired controller, if required. I have bought 4 of these little winches for different jobs, and the first one has been in use for 5-6 years without a moments trouble. I have also recommended them to a number of my friends. I wouldn't use anything else since they are powerful enough, and trouble free.

    Imax 3000 lb winch a great purchase

    3000 lb imax winch I use this winch to pull game animals onto a carrier rack on back of my Patrol it does the job with out fuss its well made and easy to mount I have mounted mine on my cab guard its well made and wireless remote makes it breeze to operate

    Great value and fit for purpose

    I have purchased 3 of these winches over the past 6 years, two for myself and one for a friend. They are used for loading small boats onto the roof of 4WD vehicles and for this purpose they have all been great. I always order the ones with dyneema rope which suits my purpose perfectly. I have no problem in recommending these winches
