Virtua Tennis 4 is a great video game. I think the sport of Tennis is probably the easiest of all sports to produce as a video game, since Tennis is mostly played one on one and the game play is so straight forward. Virtua Tennis 4 is the sequel to Virtua Tennis 2009. I see these two games as complimenting each other, and if you like playing Tennis Video games then you should definitely own both which will give you a wide variety of game play options. Virtua Tennis 2009 was a great game, but there was no option to play it "Old School" using just buttons, instead Virtua Tennis 2009 gave you various motion control options. This was one of the main gripes with this game and Sega responded by producing Virtua Tennis 4 which is played by using just the buttons on the wiimote. The D Pad controls the movement of your player and the direction of your shot. The 1, 2 , A and B buttons control the type of shot which are Top Spin, Slice, Lob or Power Shot. The game is very similar to Nintendo's Mario Tennis 64, which is available on the Virtual Console for $10. Motion Control lovers will be pleased to know that there is an option in Virtua Tennis 4 to play using motion control and it is some what different that Virtua Tennis 2009. Again, get both if you like Tennis Games. It should be noted that you cannot use The Motion Control Option in World Tour Mode. In All Tennis Video games it will take some time to get familiar with the controls, but once you get the hang of it, these games are fun and addicting. Virtua Tennis 4 has a range of difficulty settings from easy to extremely hard which maintains a competitive game play as your skills advance. There is also an online game play and I have yet to wait before I get a challenger. Any Game that keeps me coming back deserves 5 Stars and this game does! Sega has added yet another great addition to their Tennis Video Game Series.Read full review
Graphics are great, the format and interactive Rounds leading up to being the number one tennis player is awesome. I wished in creating the players, they had more features of hair, face, body structures like topspin 3. Overall i love the game. It would slso be great if motion Controllers could work, like the wii remote as if your playing real tennis instead of pushing buttons on remote.

It's a great tennis game, my favorite, but unfortunately, the graphics does not compare to the arcade game.
