  • Purple - One of the Best!

If you like STP, then you should have this in your collection. A fine blending of vocals, guitar and drums. I don't get tired of listening to it. There is more to STP than Interstate Love Song. Silvergun Superman, Still Remains and Pretty Penny are three songs far from any classic rock radio station's play list. And thats too bad because they are great tunes laden with some of rock's best riffs. Lastly Eric Kretz' drum sound is fabulous throughout the entire recording! JK

  • My favorite STP album by far!

What a follow-up! This one shows them playing and writing with more maturity and has a good balance between heavy and soft throughout. "Vasoline" was a tremendous hit for them. It is very edgy and reminds me somewhat of skate-punk. Don't ask me why. "Interstate Love Song" shows some of the aforementioned maturity and is my all-time favorite STP song. Everything about it is great. That's about as much as I can elaborate. Just listen to it yourself so you can get your own impression. "Army Ants" is another edgy song and the opening reminds me of something that Joe Satriani would do. Again, don't ask me why. Last but not least, there is a hilarious bonus track which is on a few minutes after the last song. It reminds me of Monty Python. I think ...

  • Grunge Is A Highlight To What Has Become.

Stone Temple is awesome. I have never had an album of theirs and really liked them all along, but never got one. Stupid, Yeah. I sure do miss these days of music. Grunge was great. Seattle had a music scene unlike any other in the early 1990's and will always have one of the best labels for artists.

  • Lounge Fly

This is STP's best album but that doesn't mean it's great. I remember buying it when it first came out and being blown away. I had it for a couple years until my whole CD collection was stolen and then I forgot about it. I recently found it again and decided to give it another listen. It didn't hold up to my expectations. All too often it reminds me of the MTV garbage modern rock that I can't get away from. Sure, it's a bit more rough and grungy but it still has that I wanna buy a big SUV and run you off the road kind of feel to it. 2 Stars.
