Notes
Before the tragic death of singer/songwriter/guitarist Brad Nowell this May, Sublime recorded their self-titled major label debut. Produced by Butthole Surfer's Paul Leary, the album is a study in versatility, with 18 cuts ranging from dancehall to ska to psychedelic dub to rock to hardcore punk and beyond. The band's brand of genre-shifting experimentation yields remarkable results in this recording, sure to capture their rabid, grass-roots U.S. following. First single/video: "What I Got." Parental advisory sticker.

Music will never be as good as the 90's

Best Sublime album! Def a great addition to any music lovers collection! Has to be in the top 10-15 best albums of the 90's, thats not easy, considering that the 90's is the best decade of music ever🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Actual artistic talent back then without having to rely on a PC for your sound and auto tune🤔 Ppl only care about making the $🤑$ and not the value of their music. Sad times.........

  • Great value for the money

Love it. Had a copy years ago that got broken. One of my favs. One of those Cd's that never gets old. It has all the great classics. One of those Cd's that I will have for life. Even if it is from 1996 and not all the band members are still alive. I keep it in my car and on my ipod. There were 2 great CD's from this band, this one and 40oz to freedom. If you don't have them in your collection, I suggest you get a copy.

  • BEST ALBUM EVER RECORDED

Alright, i've got like 4 copies of this thing so it can be listened to whenever i get the whim. Whether you like hard rock, reggae, punk or alternative, if you take the time to listen to this, you won't be disappointed. When I first popped it in my player, there were some songs I liked a real lot some that I didn't enjoy too much, but those that i didn't take to immediately I think are incredible now. Too bad Bradley Nowell is not with us - he (n eric n bud) made great music that should live on forever.

  • Sublime gone before they were great

Great reggae/rap/rock CD. The lead singer Bradley Nowell passed away from a drug overdose before the album's historic rise through the charts. Many great songs including Santeria, Wrong Way and even a rendition of Gershwin's Summertime from Porgy & Bess.

  • Best all around cd ever.

I listend to this cd all thoughout highschool. This disk turned to on to being the person that i am today. Highly influential disk. Bradly the lead singer is like elvis. Elvis made rock music popular to the US. Brandly turned on a generation of people now in their early 20's to ideas that were and still are counter culture. Teens now tend to listen to emo or hip hop, i suggest they listen to this disk. When this CD came out i was far to young to appreciate it. I do remember hearing on the news how inappropriate music is and the news person quoted ".... and let one slip" from this cd. The stuff this CD contains a new way thinking.
