The GPS unit works well, apart from the screen shade shroud doesn't sit in place without gluing it. The clips aren't tight enough and going around corners, even slowly causes the shroud to slide off the unit. Perhaps the manufacturer can address this poor design flaw. I would purchase again as the unit and features are fairly good.

Great GPS for very few Dollars
If you buy one of these, you will probably find it difficult to set up the Navigation option using the included instructions. But don't dismay, they send you a link to a youtube video which shows you how to get it going very simply. The unit is pretty easy to use and has a good range of functions and a clear, easy to read screen. Not sure whether the promise of free map updates will be forthcoming, but I guess I'll find out in due course. A friend told me that I would regret this when I told him that I had bought it. He was spot on. It is a complete piece of garbage. I gave it to the grandson of another friend since he enjoys taking things apart. He loves it. However, he is talking about all other options EXCEPT for the one that I bought it for - that is its GPS capability. The users manual is certainly written (not surprisingly) by a non-English speaker. We live in a country that uses metric - neither I or my friend found anywhere that provided the means to change from imperial to metric. And the tick-tock was just as useful. All in all, it can adequately be summed up as a complete waste of both money and time.
