This is a modern, upgraded version of a classic high speed (sensitivity) black and white reversal motion picture film stock, also used for still photography in larger formats, performing well even in low light situations. It is known for its strong contrast, yet with beautiful, highlight detail, and visible grain, the latter not being an issue in the 16mm format and modern high resolution digital scans. If you want a more "fine art" look with a subtle, silky texture and very fine grain, this is might not be the right film stock for you. I recommend watching high quality online footage made with 16mm Kodak Tri-X to get the exact idea of how it will look. This film stock can easily be developed by most labs. The look and feel of this film stock is ideal for many a film project, amateur, student or professional. Think "film noir", vintage crime drama, street photography, documentary or simply "family and friends" with that classic, stunning "cinematic" look. The single perforation allows for the widescreen Super 16mm format, currently being used in professional motion pictures and television shows. Highly recommended.Read full review
