I'm not an expert, but it passes all the tests and some pieces have a very slight tackiness when they are warm. The aroma when burned is very nice and this could be used in an oil/resin diffuser. But there is cheaper stuff for that. My research says this is 12-25 million years old. It is a byproduct of coal mining which is common in western Sumatra because it is a subduction zone.

There is an amazing variety of colors & hues, and when you hold it up to the light, it’s like looking through a stained glass window. I also received a free chunk of beautiful, yellow amber!
