Sorry for my delayed response, but wanted to communicate some very positive feedback. It was an excellent experience dealing with this seller in all regards. Honesty, integrity, and fair pricing, to name a few. Got my item to work like new after a few tweaks, although it was presented as it may have issues. It was priced that way as well. I would not hesitate to buy anything else from this seller. Excellent communication and delivery time as well.

    "Witnessing a Miracle"

I say a miracle because, in the course of the documentary, Grey Gardens, we not only see the plight of two women surviving poverty and abandonment--but we see them, themselves. We get a real glimpse into their individual personalities and their togetherness and how they live it. We see the unscripted reactions that people have only when they are not conscious of being watched. The Maysles, the documentarians, had a real rapport with the women. They trusted them, and were able to be very unconscious of the camera's eye. Contrary to today's so called reality TV, Grey Gardens is real and even raw at times with verbal exchanges that become quite lively. But these do not bear the marks of calculated response or script as in the present day "reality" shows. This documentary reveals the ...

  • "Grand Guignol", at its finest.

Wealth, prestige and sanity running out in a crumbling mansion. A fascinating and somewhat sad end to one of the once wealthy and distinguished Edith Bouvier Beale. The two "Edies" are as enduring as the movie and will be on your mind for years to come. A cult classic and one to not miss. "Grand Guignol" at it's finest.

  • HBO did a FANTASTIC job on making of this documentary

HBO did a fantastic job on the making of this documentary. They did such a great job it made me want to purchase the original documentary of Grey Gardens, which was superb! Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore WERE Edie Bouvier Beales and Edie Eeals jr. I highly recommend purchasing Grey Gardens. It delves into the lives of 2 women who were the Aunt and 1st cousin of Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis and they were either a little " off " or just very eccentric. Either or, they were very interesting people and in a way this documentary is like a love story, between a mother and daughter spanning 40+ years, living alone, with each other and rarely any company at all from relatives or friends. They were kind of reclusive but they had each other

  • A peek into Social Registar Welfare

I have watched this so many times and each time I see something new. As poor as these ladies are they still have the ellusion of wealth. They are bittersweet in their relationship. Little Edie is a beautiful woman and her mother was also in her younger days. The loss of Little Edie's hair forced to use whatever she had available to maintain a stylish demeanor. Very clever. She could and I think started a fashion trend. If you are interested in the human side of life, I urge you to buy this. Little Edie is dead now but the house was sold to a couple who restored it to it's former beauty. The stipulation of the sale was that they could tear down any of the structure and only improve with dignity in mind. Rumor is that when it rains the cats urine is still in the air. Ugh

  • MAY THE BEALES ALWAYS REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS

All I can say is, if you don't fall in love with Big and Little Edie after watching this movie, then you're not human! Even after watching it for the first time, I was hooked. It is a mesmerizing experience that is difficult to describe, as I'm sure other fans will attest to. After watching it, you will cry to think that these two wonderful ladies are no longer with us. At least we have Grey Gardens to remember them! I think we all long to possess the fierce independence these two ladies were graced with. Although I have always admired Jackie Onassis Kennedy, she does not stay in your heart the way Big and Little Edie do. What a rare treat to have known these delightful characters; I only wish I had!
