Hey what can I say I bought it I installed it its working so far. It's only been about a month no issues. I think as long as I don't use an external HDMI monitor the video card will last. I like Nividia but their laptop video cards suck. Of course HP blames Nividia and visa versa meanwhile we the people are stuck with the bill. I have 2 9740 US laptops I bought at the same time and both video cards went out 4-5 years later at the about the same time go figure. One laptop heavy use the other NO $2500.00 each at the time i thought they would last forever... that was before i realized they wont build them to last forever for a reason...anyway this MOBO seems to be fine I bought one here & another one there so far no issues anywhere hope they all last. I only say its not fast because it's older tech. but it's what i bought...fast at the time. :-)Read full review

I had the option to purchase used or new and found this laptop motherboard to be just what i needed with enough ad info to make my choice to purchase new. Saved me a trip to the repair shop and all the related expenses. I did the swap myself and was very pleased with the results. If you don’t wish to do the repairs yourself, have an experienced professional do it for less by making the parts purchase yourself with the correct part numbers needed to insure a proper item fit.

2hrs after installing motherboard system came back to life and appears to be stable and running with no signs of overheating. Additional copper shims seemed to have made all the difference with system temp. This is a time consuming install but fairly easy to complete for a technically minded person, wouldn't attempt it with no experience in PC repairs.

I bought this motherboard for replace my old broken one. HP is a big crap company with no support at all. HP after sale service is a disaster, you sucks and I wish you bad luck. i recommend not to buy HP products. ASUS and TOSHIBA is much better and ACER much chipper. I dial with many laptop. If you ask from toshiba a spare parts you get your answer in 5 minutes and they sent it to you free of charge. If you ask HP they never answer and they forward you to distributors or dealers. They never help you or find you any part. The HP laptops are overprice and very sensitive.
