Once I'd seen it a few times, I knew I needed it in my collection. My absolute favorite Wong Kar Wai movie. I was so disappointed to find out it was out of print. I searched everywhere, and finally came up on this site. I really didn't want to pay $18, but I was worried that at some point it might not be available at all. Anyway, I just watched it and can say that the DVD is great. I couldn't tell that it was "like new". It looks new to me. No scratches, shipped without any problems. I would order from these guys again.

I love the director and most of his films (Wan-Kar Wai). Hong Kong director. His style is brilliant and beautiful.

Chungking Express is an amazing film by Won Kar-wai. Like most of Won's films, it tells multiple stories and in a rather experimental style. If you are looking for a typical Hollywood, this movie is not for you. Chungking Express is a movie about loneliness but it does not have a depressing feel to it. It actually has quite a few hilarious moments. Chunking Express focuses on the ordinary things of life but puts a spin on them. In order to understand and appreciate Chungking Express, the viewer must be willing and able to sit back and watch, letting images come and go, and slowly allow thing to assemble themselves. Takeshiro Kaneshiro (House of Flying Daggers) stars in this film (eye candy for the ladies) as well as Tony Leung Chiu Wai from Hero. If you are a big fan of Chinese or asians films, I highly recommend this film as well as others of Won Kar-wai's: In the Mood for Love, Fallen Angels, and 2046.Read full review
A friend showed me this movie years and years ago and I still love to watch it. Very much worth keeping, it's a classic.

This movie would make a good intro to Wong Kar Wai movies... I highly recommend it. Kar Wai movies are ones you will watch over & over again... don't try to really follow a plot line, just follow the emotions his movies evoke - don't watch the movie, become the movie... I know, sounds a bit crazy, but watch Chungking Express and you'll see what I mean. Although you really don't "watch" a Kar Wai film, you "experience" a Kar Wai film...
