Measurement lines a bit off but otherwise a great addition to any cook's kitchen
I really like the type of plastic this is made from -- that is, the kind that is flexible enough it will not break. It also does not stain easily. First thing I put in it was fresh beet-carrot juice and it barely left a tinge of color. It's not as good as they used to be -- probably because no longer manufactured at the original location. The "problem" is that the measurements are a bit askew or off balance. I tried to double-check on three different level surfaces where my vintage glass measuring cups show a perfectly level water height to the markings on the cup. However, with this 4-cup plastic measuring cup, all of the measurements are a bit slanted. In the case of the cup I purchased for instance if I put in 4 cups of water. The water level comes to just the bottom of the numeral 4 ... I really like the type of plastic this is made from -- that is, the kind that is flexible enough it will not break. But that's okay. I just know to always look to the "foot" of each cup number for the best accuracy in measurement. I'm not complaining however because the cup gets 5 stars in every other feature. If you can get one made in the U.S. get it. The one I got was imported from China to Canada and then to the U.S.

Easy To Read, So It's Easy To Use!
Clear, easy-to-read bright red markings make this measuring cup easy to use for this old guy with failing vision. My generator's oil sump requires a very specific amount of oil, but the dipstick is brutally difficult to reach and unscrew - not to mention a b--ch to read. Having this to be able to carefully measure out the exact amount when changing the oil makes it easy to avoid over or under-filling it. There's no need to remove the dipstick to verify the oil level, which prevents a lot of cussing and screaming on my part. By the way, this was just about the best deal I found anywhere for a quality measuring cup. It's not thin and flimsy. Plastic can't break!
This plastic 4c. measuring cup is perfect. My husband broke my glass 4c Pyrex measuring cup. He drops things because of neuropathy (can't feel his fingers) so am having to switch to all plastic/non-breakable EVERYTHING. This does the trick. Speedy delivery too. Thx.
