    This is a very powerful and robust tool, for 8mm or more diameter with 60mm or more clear space. Your plan B, if double nut on the top fails. Be careful as it can shear the stud at the top of the engaged thread. (Plan C use an induction heater) Good value for the cost.

    manufacturer should review product hardness

    Worked well on easy to remove studs but toothed wheel did not like stubborn stuck studs as it mashed teeth on toothed wheel.

    It works!

    I was concerned that this tool would be of inferior quality to those costing more than double but I bought it anyway as it was only to be required for one job (hopefully). It arrived quickly, did the job admirably, is not damaged by the use required to remove the stud and I am very satisfied. YAY!

    After removing a couple of 3/8 head studs the teeth on remover were flattened and unable to grip studs.
