Black finish, not so great!
This is the 7th Hipshot bass bridge I purchased. This one is blak. The G string saddle slot is uneven. The black finish has several finish flaws. The chrome and nickel Hipshot bridges, have all been beautiful. Don't recommend black.

Hipshot Kickass bridge.
Solid, direct relacement for my Fender, and I am getting better sustain than the stock bridge. The finish seems durable. Intonation, and variable string spacing were easy to setup, although I had to use a shorter spring on my E string, the one it came with was too long, to allow proper intonation on that string, it's such a good setup, I didn't mind that.

This bridge is better than the stock bridge that comes on squire jaguar bass by leaps and bounds. I think it's the best bang for your buck at the 50-60 dollar range. Looks awesome, great sustain and keeps intonation well. ***Make sure you check to see how many bridge screw holes your bass has before buying in order to get the right bridge hole configuration.***
