My first fire steel
On first impressions, it has a very good solid feel, this is my first propa one and it's excellent, great value for money and solid. The striker needed some attention with a file it had a very sharp burr on the top edge you hold but this was soon sorted. I've tested it today and it works brilliantly I lit my tinder pile on the first strike (good going for a noob) I tried again and got the same, and again after that. And the pouch is a nice touch as well. Excellent quality, easy to use
It's a very easy to use firesteel. They're are lots of cheap ones out there elsewhere that are hard to strike and don't last very long. This, on the other hand is well made, easy to strike and also the wooden handle is nice to hold. In my view, it's the best one I have found, and I have used quite a few.

Better quality than I expected for the price. Bought for my grandson who has found it very easy to use after I replaced the short piece of attached cord, which wasn't long enough to allow full use of the striker.

My first fire steel. Works great, light the log burner every night. I do use the back of my knife instead of the striker, which I probably could do with out. The handle is ample for purpose and the steel seems about the perfect size.
