      The Captain and Tennille Tv Show

      I have been a fan of The Captain and Tennille ever since they started! These DVDS are from the tv show they hosted and have all of their hits. Also are various guest stars, musical and comedic to join in the fun! You will see a young John Travolta, Ron Howard, Bob Hope, the Carpenters, Neil Sedaka, and many others! In addition they are in New Orleans and Hawaii, and include a Christmas special. It is a shame that the series lasted only one season. We could use more shows like this right now!

      Remember when televison was fun?

      I remember when television was fun. We had fewer channels, so less confusion. Television was innovative and with lost of variety, something for everyone. Practically everything was suitable for the whole family to watch. While TV today has been reduced to grizzly, gruesome crime shows; obnoxious, idiotic sitcoms; and vulgar, demeaning reality shows. Music is painful to listen to. Movies are dreary and gloomy, loaded with vampires and wizards. Comic books, once bright and colorful, are now dark and depressing. Even video games require ratings. This is preposterous. But when I was young, the popular thing on TV was variety shows. People of all kinds, famous and not so famous appeared on these shows, whether or not they could carry a tune or do comedy. The Captain & Tennille gave us a ...
