    Great Study Bible

    I'm a new Christian. The first bible I had at hand was KJV, so I was happy to get my hands on a NASB version in a study bible with tons of notes from John MacArthur. Since I bought this used copy, I've learned so much, and so many of my questions have been answered, and it's been surprisingly enjoyable to just pick up and read wherever the book happens to open. I especially love the maps and charts throughout the book. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

    The John MacArthur Study Bible in the NASB format is an excellent study tool to better understand Scripture.

    John MacArthur's understanding of Holy Scripture is amazing. He is among the most knowledgeable evangelists alive today. Recently MacArthur's dear friend and protege R. C. Sproul entered into heaven to receive his his eternal reward for Speaking Light into a world of Darkness. John MacArthur and R.C. Sproul are/were the most gifted expositors of od's word in this generation. The MacArthur study Bible is a must read and study for those desiring to better understand scripture, one verse at a time.

    An amazing resource for all levels of study!

    I LOVE this Bible! I use many different Bibles when I do my studies. This one and the study Bible by Chuck Swindoll are my favorites because of the background information given, Greek word translations and context, maps, cultural context and history given, and photos that are provided.

    The Best Study Bible Out There, Regardless of English Translation Available

    General editor of this study Bible John MacArthur has been a pastor for nearly 5 decades (since ~1969) and a Christian for at least a decade more. He and some of his counterparts have assembled the study notes, etc. and they are phenomenal ... years of excellent exegesis have produced much fruit resulting in the form of sound doctrine that will be a major blessing for your to read. There are at least a few English translations of this study Bible: NASB (which I purchased), ESV, NKJV, etc. There also was just released a 20-year anniversary edition of this study Bible, available in the NKJV.

    Great buy and worth it all.

    No commentaries needed at this time. It is all there together with the translation, NASB, which is the most reliable. Comments are very small, but worth the read. And the commentator, MacArthur, has already studied it all and is a solid teacher.
