I've seen people say that one action or the other wasn't working and I bet it's just not getting a good connection. I had to fool with it for a while to get it right. Even then, it lost that good connection driving down the road. I will be taking it back off to hardwire it in. It did arrive in great condition and I don't regret the purchase. Just hardwire it in.
