    Sony RX 100 VI - Overall - excellent

    I have used the earlier model RX100 II up till recently. It is a good little camera but with restricted zoom range. When I saw this model with the 24-200 equivalent range I decided to upgrade. The Mk VI not only has the added zoom range but seems to work better all round. Only downside I have found so far is the shorter battery life compared to the Mk II. Is it easy to use? I say yes to this as it can be easy to use. Set it on auto-everything and it will perform very well. There are also a huge number of settings which cover most circumstances but require more delving into the menus. Is it good value? I would say yes but value is quite subjective. It is the cheapest I could find with the excellent 24-200 equivalent lens. If you can live with a shorter range then some earlier models in this ...

    Don't Rx100 v1.

    This is great little camera, I got it to test against my SLR. The results are really good, use raw and jpeg to get the best of both. I struggle to see any real difference in quality and sharpness until I blow the picture up. I love the ease of use and lack of bulk to carry around. I purchased a set of 52mm filters and a magnetic holder the sits out in front of the lens. Great polarised sea pictures and nd filtered land scapes

    Better value than Rx100 VII?

    Superb sensor lens and well thought out features. Could do with more touch screen control. Available for a lot less than model vii and in my opinion virtually as good for most photography.

    Sony rx100 vi

    Great pocket camera. Set to auto and you will get the results but the challenge is to understand the massive list of technical options for the serious photographer. You need to do this to justify the high spend.
