Sent home in disgrace from training camp, Omar takes on the mission himself so Barry does everything in his power to trip him up. In a hilarious and breathtaking climax Omar finds himself hurtling towards the London Marathon in a van full of explosives, fancy dress costumes and a cell of berks who all want to strike a blow for the cause but cant strike a match without punching themselves in the face.

4 stooges detonated in light comedy.
Had some very funny moments, quite enjoyable and I was not expecting the film to finish the way that it did, overall it was good and I will watch it again.

Still funny and brilliant after the intervening years. Manic and glorious.
I bought this because of fond memories watching it with my ex-girlfriend back in 2011. We were struck by the audacity of the subject matter (Attempting to make Islam extremists human and funny) and the fact that Chris Morris pulls it off so brilliantly. The reason the humor works, despite the sensitive and arguably inflammatory subject matter, is because these guys are clearly idiots. In fact, the anxiety surrounding the subject Islamic Terrorism may even heighten the humor, allowing for a greater cathartic release for the audience. No-one could take these guys seriously; while their actions may have serious consequences (In the fun-run scenes at the film's conclusion), men who make initiates hold a baked bean in the eye of their penis to prove their worth, who strap bombs to ... The docu-drama style adds a gritty reality to the proceedings and heightens the laughter, allowing the insane strings of profanity and rhetoric to shine. The cast is fantastic, particularly the underrated and underused Kayvan Novak (Fonejacker, Cuban Fury) as Waj, a man so intellectually stunted death via suicide bombing is a small mercy. I still thoroughly enjoyed it after all this time, but interestingly it wasn't so much the subject matter that affected me this time around as the brilliant characters and performances.
