      awesome book for the person with little to no knowledge of maps and map usage

      This book would be excellent for scout leaders youth camp leaders and people who want to learn how to use a map and compass but have little to no prior knowledge. The book is written in an easy to follow step by step format. each chapter building off the previous chapter. The instructions are easy to follow and there are plenty of practical exercises in each section to apply the concepts chapter by chapter. If you can use a map and compass already this boob will probably be nothing new.

      Excellent book to have

      This is an excellent book to learn how to use a map and compass. Lots of information on Orienteering. However, I haven't finished the book yet and I found three mistakes. But I still recommend this book.
