Deep in wartime Germany something is stirring. Behind the barbed wire of a POW camp, brave allied heroes are plotting to escape, led by their daring officer. Undeterred, he wants to go for the Big One - an even more audacious plan to free all 327 prisoners in one go! The scene is set for an hilarious and sharply observed comedy drama written by one of Britain's top writers, starring a clutch of leading television stars backed by an award winning producer and director. This spoof of the great wartime escape movies is written by David Nobbs (The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin) and stars Stephen Fry (Q.I.), one of Britain's major comic talents, as the arrogant public-school educated Forrester, alias Big F. Nicholas Lyndhurst (ONLY FOOLS & HORSES, GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART) plays the insubordinate Chump Cosgrove and Geoffrey Palmer (AS TIME GOES BY) is the understandably twitchy Camp Kommandant.
