      Replace release line too

      I don’t remember how much I paid for this thing, but one of the hood latch parts was high, Like $60. Anyway the hood latches and opens fine now after I broke the grill screen and replaced top and bottom latch and release line. What a hassle!

      For the almighty plastic clip!

      Excellent replacement part! Just wish they sold the little plastic clip for the hood release rod seperately or improved on its design. Maybe......thats the plan after all.....Mmmmm? Tired of the oil change mechanics snapping it off! Installed two tiewraps first this time to add strength to the plastic clip. Lets see how long it lasts this time! Otherwise......great part!

      Original equipment replacement

      The plastic rod clip broke on original. I replaced with after market rod clip that lasted al most one whole day. Reached out and purchased original hod latch with rod push clip. I am hoping this original equipment replacement will last over twenty years as the original did.
