  • Minolta 35-70 f/3.5-4.8 MD Zoom Wide-angle Lens

I bought a Minolta 35-70 MM MD lens. I still use film cameras as a hobby. As far as this particular lens, it is a excellant general use lens great for an all types of situations, both indoor and outdoor. The size is perfect and the weight is just what you need if you are going to carry the camera alot ,like walking around cities, historical areas or on a vacation. Or just simply taking a camera to parties and functions.I do a lot of black & white photography, and so far it has worked out perfecly. A good lens to have in the bag, look for one if you take a lot of film pictures.

  • An Excellent, Classic Minolta Lens

I really like this lens; I received it a few days ago, and have takes some incredible shots with it over the weekend. It is incredibly sharp (if stopped down a bit), and it produces images with wonderful 'Minolta' colors. I took some razor sharp photos of my 6 month old, and several truly crisp photos of my neighbor's garden. I have the Sony Alpha 350 DSLR, and have been using 2 new Sony "kit" lenses (the 18-70mm and the 55-200MM); they are both decent basic lenses, and a good value, but for photo quality, this 20+ year old lens just blows them away. The only caveats are that it requires fairly bright lighting to do its best (as it has to be stopped down to get the sharpness it is capable of), and also that it does not have a very wide zoom range. Still at $40, every Alpha owner definitely ...

  • Konica Minolta AF 50mm f/2.8 Macro Lens

I think this lens would be a "must have" for anyone who wants to do closeup photography. It focuses quietly, rapidly and smoothly. I bought it mainly to shoot plants and flowers. Then, thinking I had more urgent uses, I used it at home and took it to the bank to take pictures of my jewelery--something I should have done years ago to create a record of important pieces for the insurance company, police, whomever. I also tried it on coins, and stamps. I could not ask for clearer brighter, better pictures. Very impressive, indeed, without any computer enhancement. Both circle lens light and regular flash worked well with it. I used it on Minolta xi cameras. I can only imagine what it will do on Sony Alpha 350, 700 and 900, even 100 or 200. I am planning to find out soon. ...
