Need to modify wiring and lasted 90 days..
I have 2001 Disco2 and this motor had a connector that didn't match the OE connector. Had to wire the new connectors to make this work. While the motor works great, just keep in mind this will NOT be plug and play. Also it has been about 3 months and it is not automatically stopping and loses ability to push the window back up. I have been Lucky8s customer for 4 of my Rovers past 5 years. Let's see if there is any warranty on this. I have 2001 Disco2 and this motor had a connector that didn't match the OE connector. Regarding the wire connection!
The connector for the motor is inside the frame of the door ! Don't confuse the speaker connector with door motor connector. Although it somehow differs from the one installed on your vehicle it is still a correct part for your vehicle, just a new appearance/version (the manufacturer modified the way it looks now). Wherever on the market you can find it that would be the same part (except for the original costing $200 that 100% matches the one on your vehicle). Regarding the wire: simply disconnect the short wire that goes to your old motor not from the end attached to the motor but from the other end (where it connects to the door main wire) and connects a motor. The connector for the motor is inside the frame of the door ! Don't confuse the speaker connector with door motor connector. Awsome Product! Fits perfect!
AWSOME! dont forget on some models this plug is hard wired into the motor! the good news is on some models of Discovery there is a short wiring harness that can be removed allowing this extended plug to plug right in eliminating the extra 5" wiring! its a fit! Perfect!
