With gallows humour and dogged etermination, the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department Homicide division race to keep pace with the killers who haunt their city. But it's not easy with over 250 murders a year and the ominous 'Board' tracking their every move. In this third series, Lewis and Howard are without partners. Someone need sto come along to shake things up - enter brash detective Mike Kellerman from the arson unit. After impressing the boss, he's invited to join Maryland's finest. Interesting developments are in store including a change in location when the entire Police Department has to be relocated when a gas pipe explodes at HQ and when Howard is promoted but Russert Demoted.
