I really enjoyed this film as one of Tom Selleck's early films.

The Love Letter DVD I purchased cannot be opened for me to view so therefore I cannot enjoy this movie since I can't get it to start & play. I've seen the movie before, but I wanted my friends to see it as well. I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with where it was sent from - Canada? England? Help!!
Excellent film, a great story line, which i don't think that anyone else has used before. You could really see something like this happening in a small American town. Ellen is once again brilliant. Very funny film and the characters come together brilliantly. Easy outgoing film to watch. The only negative point is: if your not an ELLEN fan then you might not like the film, she is herself (comedy wise) - which some people do not like.
Being a Tom Selleck fan I watched this solely for him and bought the DVD as I am a completist. I thoroughly enjoyed the multi character story about the whole town wondering about who wrote an anonymous letter and to whom it is intended for. Kate Capshaw was both stunning to look at and captivating to watch. Ellen DeGeneres was great as the 'comic relief' role. Tom Selleck for me personally was a joy to watch. A million miles from Magnum p.i. but only a stone's throw away from his current Jesse Stone character in terms of performance. He brought a nice subtle underplayed Fire Chief pining for Kate Capshaw and their attempts to rekindle that romance are great. A nice and good natured film, not overly funny but it is just right. The ending is pleasing and surprisingly NOT cliched. A great night in with your loved on. Check it out. Jason Keith Platt.Read full review
