Did the Job
The fuel filler neck on my car was original and thus more than 40 years old. Worse, there was a crack that may have been contributing to the release of gas fumes in the trunk. Installing the new neck filler was a matter of reversing what I did to remove the old unit. I should have, but did not get, a new gasket to seal the neck and car. It doesn't seem to have been a problem, but it's too early to tell. Others should consider replacing all the old parts to ensure the integrity and safety of the vehicle and passengers. The only other thing of note is that it's worth noting the position of the fitting rings before taking them off. There seems to be a particular alignment between the rings and the filler neck to be observed. Failure to make this alignment will not permit one to use all 4 ... Bought this filler neck for a 74 02 and it is just too small you can stretch it to get it in but then it won't deal well and your cab fills up with petrol fumes I'd give it no stars if I could
