Amazing French Door Fridge Spring
The spring is designed to make the centre flap spring back into a grove so that both French doors can close and seal the fridge. It is a replacement OEM part that clearly must break regularly on the Samsung French Door fridges. Well, it worked. Our fridge door-flap now closes properly. The spring wasn't the easiest thing to install. I suggest using long-nose pliers. I am so glad that there is someone that sells these tiny parts that, where we live, would otherwise mean having to buy the whole door-flap assembly as small parts are not sold here. Samsung fridge Spring for the French door
Excellent product..took me approx. Half a.minute to install. I bought several springs just in case it breaks again. I find that the actual cost of the spring elsewhere is about two dollars and I bought them for almost ten dollars each and that I find that the shipping was terribly expensive and small package that weighs a feather cost more the actual order!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Almost ten dollars for a spring and almost 30 to 35 Canadian dollars to ship. But overall I am satisfied with my product. I do not know about the durability for the moment but the original equipment last almost two years with very heavy use. For the moment excellent product but very expensive and especially costly to ship. But this was almost an emergency for the Samsung fridge. Thanks for the excellent product for the ... I determined from looking at videos, instead of buying an $80 French Door strip, that I could only buy a spring--I guess a commonly defective part. I found there were 2-3 different springs, but with the assistance of the seller, I got the correct one. Dismantling was the hard part because you had to do a lot of prying. Luckily, the plastic was not brittle, but rather flexible, allowing it to give. Videos are good which show you how. Once pried apart, the spring was easily installed. funny how one little spring can break and make your refrigerator a royal pain. this piece is essential unless you want to use 2 hands forevermore to close your Samsumg refrigerator. Make sure you have the correct one as there are 2 versions that I have seen and only one is the one you need!
