Ti-82s are sufficient in every way

If you can get your hands on a newest-model ti82 (the most common, with the clearest display) with no screen issues, you may be set for your advanced math course. Writing programs on it is easy if anyone's interested, and is a good supplement for the occasion that its missing some features that would be introduced in later TI calculators. The battery life is ok, and it's decently fast. Nowadays i wouldnt pay more than 15 dollars for one though.

    texas instrument

The case to this calculator had someone's name written on it. I try to get it off,but couldn't. I have a hard time buying things that are labeled With somebody else's name. I would not have purchased it had I known. And I wish it would've said something in the description.

  • Older models of calculators are still very useful!

Do you need a basic graphing calculator for cheap? This will work for a lot of uses from algebra to calculus. No, it is not as nice as the 83 or 84, but it has a lot of the same features. I'm a high school math teacher, and I have bought a few of these for "loaners" for my classroom. I would recommend an 82 over an 85 or 86, but 83s (even older ones) are a bit better, but cost more. If a student is familiar with an 83 or 84, the menus and usability are closer to the 82 over an 85 or 86. I have the darnedest time trying to find stuff in the 85 menus. The 82 can do anything needed on any ACT, SAT, and AP Calc test. The drawbacks: I have found a few features that aren't as convenient on the 82 as they are on the 83 or 84. Like when using sin and log functions, the ...

  • TI-82 Graphing calulator

Why buy a TI-82 when there are so many better calculators out there; like the mega cool TI-89 Titanium? The short answer is price! Nowadays you can find a used TI-82 going for under $20.00. Significantly cheaper than any of its descendants. It doesn't have as much memory, and its short on the bells and whistles, but it's still very powerful for the average user. It's simplicity can actually be a bonus for many users who don't need as many built in functions; and if you know what you're doing, you can make it do most of the fancy stuff anyways. For added functionality, you can download many programs for free! If you can't find a program that does what you want, the TI-basic programming language is simple enough to write your own custom programs, making redundant or lengthy calculations a ...

  • TI-82 Graphic Calculator

It my dream I studded in institute….. more then 10 years ago! Now it is useful for my sci.work and checking tasks of my cadets. Grate advantage of Ti – 82 is graphic display. You can quickly estimate the curves. For easy tasks and estimating calculations Ti – 82 more suitable then PDA with math soft. And price is very low . The grate disadvantage of calculator there is no complex numerous processor (like on Ti - 85). It makes very difficult electrotechnical calculations of AC electric circuits.
