After testing this via a few different ways and leads I managed to get my Android Tv box to finally work but it did require plugging in direct to the unit as I have so many other HDMI running through a 5 way splitter and a 15m cable it just couldn’t handle it but saying that the picture quality is great with this little gadget also less connections as had an adaptor on the original lead to convert that one to HDMI also I don’t need a new projector just yet so saved me a small fortune and revitalised my old tech.After testing this via a few different ways and leads I managed to get my Android Tv box to finally work but it did require plugging in direct to the unit as I have so many other HDMI running through a 5 way splitter and a 15m cable it just couldn’t handle it but saying that the picture quality is great with this little gadget also less connections as had an adaptor on the original lead to convert that one to HDMI also I don’t need a new projector just yet so saved me a small fortune and revitalised my old tech.

All DVI Ports are NOT...... Made Equal.....
If you have a need/ If you have a device that has a M1-D port, do yourself a favor and order this adapter. This is if you intend to use a HDMI cable to hook up your device (or order the M1-D to DVI adapter if you intend to use a DVI cable to connect to your "older" mac computer(s).. I recently purchased a Hitachi CP-X1250 projector. It's old (2003) but for the price I paid, it will do just fine. I have all kinds of DVI cables at my disposal so naturally when I saw that this projector has a DVI port I jumped on the chance to purchase a remote controled, 4500 lumens, 4x3 & 16x9 selectable aspect ratio, power zoom, power lens shifter, power focus projector that allows me to connect my bluRay Player HDMI to the DVI port and keep my footage "digital". To my surprise, none of my DVI cables ... If you have a need/ If you have a device that has a M1-D port, do yourself a favor and order this adapter. This is if you intend to use a HDMI cable to hook up your device (or order the M1-D to DVI adapter if you intend to use a DVI cable to connect to your "older" mac computer(s).. If you don't believe me, you'll find yourself in the same position that I was in. NO DVI CABLE YOU HAVE WILL WORK WITH M1-D. That's where this adapter comes in. It plugs right into the projector M1-D port and it has a "FEMALE" HDMI on the other end of this adapter which allows you to use basically any HDMI cable ( Male to Male) you currently have in your possession. It seems that M1-D is a "Thang" with INFOCUS projectors. Hitachi and INFOCUS apparently collaborated when Hitachi made the CP-X1250 project which is also being sold by INFOCUS under a different model number (something like... L-860 or something like that but don't quote me on the INFOCUS model number please). YOU WILL NEED THIS ADAPTER or a M1-D to DVI adapter to operate a piece of machinery that has a M1-D port. Once I plugged this adapter into the projector and connected a hdmi cable to the female end of this adapter and the other end to my sony 4K "up scaling" bluRay player (and selected M1-D input on the projector) my movie/video played without a moment's trouble. I took the time to write this because I wished someone else had. It would have saved me time and frustration. I would have ordered this adapter at the same time I ordered my projector and wouldn't have had to wait another +- week for this adapter to come in the mail. Hope this helps someone in the future.......

M1-DVI- HDMI with HDMI Splitter Techole solved Sony Blu ray Player incompatibility
This adapter enables for an old Optoma beamer (EzPro 737) HDMI connectivity. Works very well with DVD player to view videos withou HDCP encryption. Unfortunatelly most DVD movies have HDCP encryption. To enable HDCP capability for this beamer you need an addtional splitter (HDMI Splitter Techole) - available at Amazon - to display DVD movies with HDCP encryption. More than that - the splitter is needed in case you want to connect a Sony Blu ray player (Sony BDP-S6700) via HDMI and view the main menu.This adapter enables for an old Optoma beamer (EzPro 737) HDMI connectivity.
