Underappreciated and Unknown
One of Duran Duran's better albums, Medazzaland was barely publicized or marketed in the U.S., and not even released in the U.K., where Duran Duran has always enjoyed a large fan base. This is an underappreciated album. Duran Duran was down to only Simon Le Bon on vocals, Nick Rhodes on keys/synth, and Warren Cucurrilo on guitar. However, back in 1997, John Taylor, former and now current Duran Duran bassist played on four tracks on the album. Look closely at the liner notes -- there he is, out of rehab, life back on track, and contributing to some of Duran Duran's most beautiful songs, even if he wasn't officially in the band at that time. Some of my favorite songs from the album are: Michael, You've Got a Lot to Answer For (about the suicide of INXS lead Michael Hutchence) Out of My ... Underrated CD
I've been a Duran Duran fan since I was 10 years old. I have every one of their albums. I had the Medazzaland album on cassette tape. It broke so I've been searching for it on CD for many years. I finally found it on EBay. Yeah! There are a few good songs on here such as "Out of My Mind" and "Midnight Sun". I would recommend this CD to any and all Duran Duran fans.
