I was a little reluctant to get one until my grandson in college told me how much he loves using his and how his Instant Pot Bacon Cheeseburger Dip was the hit at his Super Bowl party! The best part is the set it and forget it feature. You still have to chop and dice, etc. but after that you're free to do other stuff, no stirring. It will keep warm for hours. The only drawback is, its tall. Probably does not fit on some shelves unless the lid is stored separately. Overall, however, it works great and is best for families, because it makes quite a lot.

I am beyond thrilled with my Instant Pot. The first meal I made was beef barley soup. I was immediately blown away by how tender the meat was, and how well blended the flavors were. The speed at which it cooked was amazing. I was a little hesitant about the browning of the meat, worried that it wouldn't be able to give me that lovely crust. But 'woo doggie, was I wrong. Everything that I have sauteed of browned has come out absolutely perfect. It's so responsive to the temp changes indicated, and is so versatile. I got this at the very end of winter, and feel almost cheated that I didn't buy it much sooner. Although Spring has sprung on the calendar, old man winter is hanging on for dear life, and promises to give me plenty of opportunity to made warm, delicious meal in a snap!! Finally replaced an old pressure cooker with this instant pot and it’s amazing. It’s more walk away than instant but that’s what I love about it. I’m ready to try the yoghurt maker next week. So far I’ve made quite a few recipes. Using the instant pot you need to find Your own settings. I’ve mostly used either low pressure or high then set the time manually and then thought if it needed more time, I did a slow release rather than a quick release. Lots of recipes are available on line. Used the sauté function works well and saves using another pot.
