I first put the RS 66 set on my brand new Rickenbacker 4001s in 1974. My affinity for piano bass tone was born. Even today the sound of a fresh set Rotosounds sets the bar for what should come next... tone, my tone. Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Steinberger, Kubicki, Music Man; four string and five string; fretted and fretless; all my basses sound best with Rotosound RS 66 sets. Always.

I have been using Rotosound Swing Bass strings since 1976. I experimented early on with other brands but I always came back to the Roto's. They a great feel and sustain and I've never had a bad set in all my years as a professional musician.
