About this product

Product Information

In the late 1890s, when Melba was at the zenith of her career, Amy Castles, a simple girl from Bendigo was vigorously promoted as the person most likely to displace Melba. The Casles boom of 1899 began the Melba bashing that exposed Australia's cultural indecurities and condemned Amy to a futile effort to displace the great diva.

Item exactly as described. Packaged safely, the book was wrapped in bubble wrap and sent in a stiff post pack, this was sufficient to keep the book safe, damage and mark free. Item arrived in a reasonable time. Item was priced accordingly, a fair and reasonable amount for a unique book. Extremely happy with seller, would definitely buy from the in the future and the bonus is it’s for a charity.
