I can’t say enough positive things about this Seller!!! He worked with me on the price for a less than desirable coin, then provided a perfect flawless collection coin, at a discount!!! Item arrived in a specially designed envelope that prevents damage, loss or theft- then double wrapped it to ensure that it wasn’t damaged!!!! Speedy delivery! Excellent communication skills. I highly recommend this seller!

    Mercury Dimes: Overlooked, Undervalued

One of the top FOUR (4) US Mint Designs of the 20th Century, the 90% Silver Winged Liberty “Mercury” Dime (1916-1945) harkens nearly 3 decades and 2 generations to stand firm in turmoil. During this period, the U.S. faced the German & Reich Foe Twice with the maniacal Japanese Empire both bent on territorial crusades the likes of Roman Rule. The Mercury dime as has become its mainstay moniker, is obverse-adorned with the left-flanking Liberty having near-perfectly proportioned wings launching Lady Liberty to “immortality.” With an approximate ASW “Silver Weight” of .0723 Ounces each, todays melt value of approximately $1.05. However in Fine-12 condition, pricing appears numismatically almost quadruple at $3.91 for lower grade , common specimens! The reverse provides Roman fasces, a ...

  • I love Mercury dimes...................

Mercury dimes are beautiful coins with a great history. If you're a coin lover but you can't afford to collect the high dollar stuff (like me), then Mercury dimes are the way to go. You can get some really beautiful high grade coins for very reasonable prices. As with any coin type, there are some VERY expensive key date Mercury Dimes, but it's not hard to build a really nice collection of the more common dates.

  • A TIME IN HISTORY

A time in History. Just think were this coin has been, from the day it was made up till the day I brought it. It's just one of America's small piece of pride and the History of the people who have taken pride in making a beautiful coin as the Mercury Dime, She's Beautiful.

  • LOVE THOSE BEAUTIFUL MERCURY DIMES!

FIRST OF ALL, THIS DIME IS NOT ANY ORDINARY SILVER MERCURY DIME-IT IS CERTIFIED BY PCGS. THAT MEANS IT IS GRADED AND AUTHENTICATED BY A PROFESSIONAL COIN EXPERT. IT CONFIRMS THAT IT IS NOT A FAKE COIN LIKE MANY COINS THAT ARE BEING MADE IN CHINA THESE DAYS AND FLOODING THE U.S. BY THE THOUSANDS. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT RECENTLY BOUGHT A 1916-D MERCURY DIME THAT WAS A RAW COIN-MEANING IT HAD NOT BEEN CERTIFIED. HE PAID OVER $900.00 FOR IT AND IT LOOKED VERY REAL, BUT AFTER I SENT IT IN TO BE CERTIFIED, IT CAME BACK AS BEING FAKE-THE D MINTMARK HAD BEEN ADDED TO A REGULAR 1916 DIME! A VERY HARD LESSON TO LEARN THE HARD WAY. NOW THE 1944-S DIME I BOUGHT WAS GRADED MS-64, WHICH MEANS (MS) MINT STATE, AND (64) IS THE NUMBER THAT MEANS HOW CLOSE TO PERFECT IT IS. THE GRADING SCALE IS 1-70, WITH 1 ...
