    This is the camera I take on hikes, when I'm riding my horses, or snowboarding. It was a good value and not so pricey that I hesitate to take it on my adventures. I've destroyed several other cameras, so it's a good probability that I will do so again. I took it to a Geology Field trip to Joshua Tree National Park this past weekend to test it out. My shots turned out great. I used the 18-55 lens exclusively. It took clear shots of the landscape, close ups of rocks and flowers.

    Great Value But a few Hiccups

    Bought this item as a replacement for my wife's camera that was deemed unrepairable. The price was right but mhen we received the camera body the flash didn't work. A little playing around and we determined that the flash mechanism was stuck from being in storage for so long. A little manual working of the hinges and it seems to work fine now.
