About this product

Product Information

Based on Nickelodeon's made-for-television movie, Safari Rescue has preschoolers helping Diego and friends in seven animal-themed activities. A mean magician has turned the Serengeti's elephants into stone and it's up to children to rescue them. All activities are played solely with the Wii Remote, whether it's clicking on bushes to find lions or assembling puzzle pieces to create vehicles from Diego's rescue pack. Two difficulty levels are available, and youngsters can freely revisit their favorite games by clicking on a safari map. The Wii version adds controllable vehicle stages, with players using motion-sensitive controls to steer a hot-air balloon, rubber raft, hang-glider, and more. Two players can compete in simultaneous races, or an adult can grab a second Wii Remote to assist younger audiences with some of the activities.

Wii Safari Rescue Great Game for Kids

This is for the Wii - Safari Rescue - Great Game for Kids - my daughter loved it ever since she was 3 - though she could not play at that time, we played for her- she used to watch - now that she started playing - won't give us the controls :)

  • Great game for children of all ages!

This is a great Wii game for little kids because it's based on in-home research conducted by Nickelodeon that looked at how preschoolers could best use the Wii controllers. The game incorporates 13 Wii-centric motions that are easily learned by preschoolers because they mimic motions done in real life. If you want to swim across a lake, you make a swimming motion with you arms. To help some water buffalo grow back horns that the magician has taken away, you hold the Wii remote in one hand as you place your hands on the side of your head. Then you stretch out your arms and put them back on your head, repeating this motion until the horns have grown back. You can also mimic digging, flapping your ears like an elephant, waddling like a hippo, playing a drum, and much more. Unlike other video ...

  • Go Diego Go! Wii Game

We (my husband and me) love our Wii but the kids want to play too! This game is a great way to introduce them to the movements of the Wii system. Even my 2 year has a fun time running his truck in the safari race. It is a simple up and down motion with the remote. Something he can even do by himself. What a great way to build up hand/eye cordination!

  • Fun for kids. No one else.

This game was bought for my 3 year old who had not played any games before. At first he had a tough time understanding the connection between the Wii controller what was happening on screen. Once he figure out that he was making Diego move he wasn't interested in learning how to do it right. That's my boy! Great easy game for the 3 - 6 year old. Too easy for most though. Not very long but a must have for the Dora/Diego fan in the house. An adult can help on some "boss" levels. Also neat two player racing.

  • GREAT BEGINNER GAME FOR THE WII!

This is a GREAT game for the little ones in your house to get started using the WII! My daughter is almost 3 1/2. She played this game for 2 hours the first night. With this game they have to go through the motions of using their arms and the Wii remote to "Dig out of the hole," "Climb the ladder," "Shake the tree," and so much more. This is an awesome game! Easy for them to play and excel. From what I have read about this game, they studied children and their instinct moves to finish this game! Definitely a beginner game to help youngsters start using the Wii remote!
