I bought Cross Stitch to replace the copy I had leant to someone and therefore lost. It is a wonderful start to a great series - which has now been televised as Outlander. If you've watched that, you will absolutely love this book, which is the first in the series. Compelling and meaty; beautifully written with many flashes of humour.

I've been reading the Diana Gabaldon Outlander series since the late 1990's.. absolutely without a doubt, the best books I've ever read. I would go as far as saying, they changed my life.. the characters are amazing, relatable and heartwarming.. (although I can't say that for Jack Randall).. Jamie Fraser, is my ideal man.. but I suppose every woman who reads the books, will say the same. 😍 The history, romance, battle, and complete passion in these books, make them well worth a read.. Men and women, both will enjoy! I've read them all 3 times, and watched the tv first 2 seasons (which is amazing) on Amazon prime.. Yes I love the Outlander series, and yes I DEFFO recommend reading!!
