Best Carrie of them All!
I think this version of Carrie is the absolute best one of them all!! Chloe does a stand up job as the lead role in this film. She makes the scene at the Prom very intense. I can watch this one over and over again and it like the first time watching every time!

Great remake
I love the original Carrie from 1976 but this 2013 remake brings a much needed fresh retelling of the Stephen King classic. Chloe Grace Moretz does a very good job of portraying young Carrie White and Julianne Moore does an exceptional job as Carrie's mother without going over the top like the '76 version.

Moretz & Moore put a slightly different spin on Carrie and her mother.
Although critics are often quick to condemn a remake if the original has attained classic status, I actually prefer this CARRIE to the Sissy Spacek version. Spacek, at age 27, did an excellent job PLAYING a high school girl, but Chloe Grace Moretz really WAS a high school girl when she made this film. Being the right age for the part made it more believable that she was getting her period for the first time. The plot of the two versions is nearly identical, including most of the same dialogue. The difference is in the actors' interpretations of the characters. Just as we get a younger, more vulnerable Carrie, we also see her mother in a different light. As played by Piper Laurie, Carrie's mother is an evil religious fanatic who seems to enjoy abusing Carrie. As played by ...
