If your into Godzilla / Gamera & other Japanese sci-fi monster flicks and you haven't seen this movie then your missing out on one of the better non-Godzilla TOHO movies from that era (60's). This movie features a great cast, direction by the master of Japanese science fiction film Ishiro Honda and awsome special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. The plot is simple, Diamonds and coal are turning up missing in huge quanties all over the world. At first the police suspect a diamond smugeling ring, but cant tie them in with the coal thefts. An inept detective and a scientist team up to help solve the mystery. Huge jelly-fish like creatures are robing the world of any carbon based substance they can get to feed on (Humans are on the menu as well). This is a well made, well acted film featuring great preformances from: Yosuke Natsuki, Hiroshi Koizumi and the stunningly beautiful Akiko Wakabayshi (You Only Live Twice). This movie is so much fun i've watched it three times in two days. I highly recomend this to all classic sci-fi fans. You can get it from get_importcds on eBay for about $10.00 Add this one to your library soon. Marty~Read full review
Well it's no Godzilla(Gojira) but it is entertaining anyway.A television satellite is destroyed by a strange jellyfish-like blob and it only gets more weird from there. This monster eats coal and diamonds for the carbon they contain and as usual the scientists and military get to work on destroying it.I wont spoil the rest by giving away what happens but it's pretty good.Per usual Ishiro Honda directs with Eiji Tsuburaya doing the special effects with the great Akira Ifukube's soundtrack.Any Godzilla fanatic will enjoy this flick but if you aren't a Toho fan you may want to look elsewhere for movie night.
Features many familiar faces from the Godzilla Showa series movies, and a pretty interesting sci-fi story with some great practical effects. It’s a decent print of the film and includes both the Japanese and English dubbed versions, well worth the price, it will make a great addition to any Godzilla fan’s collection!

One of the strangest movies and monsters Toho ever produced to the big screen. Not much for special features other than trailers and a photo gallery but is sure to entertain the sci-fi buff in everyone. Classic!

This is one of the rare gems of toho's classic Kaiju era. The Tokyo Shock version contains both the original Japanese version and the English dub.

One of ToHo studios cheesiest classics that remains a good popcorn flick despite outrageous acting by Dan Yuma, Truly one of the most unusual monsters ever and a credit to the imagination of the creators, visual effects master Eiji Tsuburaya provided some enteresting effects for its day, A personal favorite because i was born the year it was made!
I really enjoyed this movie, though the english dubbing was really bad in some parts. The Dogora creature effects were surprisingly good for the genre, and it's very funny. It's a great movie if you love Japanese Kaiju films.
