BABE! An enduring and endearing allegory "for all time"*! What struck me most, OH, beside the fabulous production values, perfect casting, real and animated, and Tha Story... is this film's quality of sweetness. Recommended for every age group, pork sales plummeted after this movie got around! As an erstwhile lifelong dog trainer and behaviorist, I was also struck by the truth of the animal characters' actions. No matter your age, education, or past experiences, this film will open your eyes and/or warm your heart on some level. I defy anyone to watch the finale and not be moved emotionally. AND, if you were one of the "unaffected", I would smile, wink and say, "Sure". I have replaced this movie once already, as I tend to pass along books and movies to my friends. I am of the solid opinion that one good movie, viewed numerous times, offers far more entertainment value than any amount of Hollywood's "sausages". "Sausages" being the prevalent low moral value genre filled with gratuitous sex/drugs/revenge/violence pap, in an effort to garner by sensationalism, the attention of the viewing public, that is "ground out" daily. (Let us not forget to add here television's hideous line-ups). Without falling into negativism just thinking about That... Back to Babe: 4 out of 4 stars... don't even bother to rent it first. Just buy it, see what I mean, and stack within your other cherished life companion films. Here, I reassert the phrase "for all time": *"For all time" is in the form of the song the man sings to the pig, showing his intent never to harm (eat) the pig, but that he will always be there to safeguard his intelligent, gentle, and forgiving (in this case) co-worker and trusted ally. Further, don't forget the helium-voiced introductions by the farm mice! Comedy (all), Drama (Rex), Pathos (the duck!), Unconditional Love (Fly), Forgiveness (Babe), Truth (Ma), Flexibility/Innovation (the man, aka, The Boss), "facts of life" (Mrs. Hogget), Challenged Tradition (the fax), Treachery/Envy/Spite (the cat), Acceptance (the cow)... All these, plus the quality of sweetness that pervades this film, make this a movie to pull out when you have need of the reassurance of goodness in the world. I sell movies too, but this one will never be listed! I close by quoting my favorite bumper sticker: "Pray For Whirled Peas"... I would like to have one that says, “Watch BABE Annually, Whether You Need To Or Not”. ; ) thanks for tha opportunity to voice what SpyWacket thinks about this fine film, Babe. best, sher / sp1life note: allegory: (al-uh-gawr-ee) 1: the expression by means of symbolic fictional figures and actions of truths or generalizations about human existence ; also: an instance (as in a story or painting) of such expression 2: a symbolic representation source: (Merriam Webster)Read full review
Great family movie. No bad language, off colored jokes, semi dresses folks. Nice clean movie. This review form from Ebay though is stupid. I would like to write as few characters as possible and not 100 required by someone else who thinks I must write a book worth of glowing reviews.
Babe is known by most adult and many children to be a little cute piglet named Babe. It is extremely original, and most adults love the story. If you have young children who have never seen Babe, I highly recommend that you search Ebay for your own collection. You won't regret it, and your children, or grandchildren will love YOU for it.

This movie is one of the best for children and adults. Funny, sweet, and just purely entertaining. Great!
I love this movie because it reminds me of family and you get this family feel when you watch it. It is a great movie and the main character is someone everyone will love.
Animals talking catches the interest of my children and they can watch it over and over and never get bored with it. Naturally I bought it for my children.
This movie is sweet and it reminds me of Charlotte's Web. This film looks like one of best family films of all times and it is part of A.F.I.'S best films. The 2006's Charlotte's Web looks alike like Babe.
Great movie! It's funny but our cat "Jose'" started meowing when the dogs were speaking with human voices! Jose' was very interested in this movie!
My little guy just loves the animals talking. He is quite a chatter box for a just 2 year old. We have watched it for hours.
