This World War II flight simulator from Jane's Combat Simulations puts that conflict's finest aircraft under your command. You start the adventure in an aircraft hangar from which you can undertake up to 40 single missions or begin a campaign set around the Ardennes offensive.<br><br>Flying for either the American Army Air Force or the German Luftwaffe, you will have one of six detailed aircraft at your disposal. Will you choose the fast Spitfire Mark IX, the even faster jet-powered Me-262, the classic P-47 Thunderbolt, the Me-109, the Focke-Wulf 190A, or the P-51D Mustang?<br><br>Online games can be played at Jane's Combat.Net, www.janescombat.net, which allows you to enter straight one-on-one dogfights or compete in team battles with up to seven other players. But be warned, the gameplay can be as realistic and detailed as the graphics; you must obey orders from the tower and take off, fly, and land in formation.

Memories
I bought this game when it was introduced. Somehow within the years and change of computers it got lost. Compared to the newer games-flight simulators- the graphics are not too god. But one can live with it.

Bought it at suggestion of ebmechanic. Everything is great from graphics to simulation. Very real and unforgiving. In other games (flying) I felt I was pretty good. This one humbles you and this is good. Great game. Best sound to P-5l engine. Love it. 7-28-09 If you love to fly WWII fighter aircraft in combat, this is the one to take lessons from. Classic Combat Simulator
It has many game options that allow you to make the plane realistic or invincible. Also amount of ammo to how easy the flight controls are. Its foe Win 98 but it will work on XP and with a little search, you can find the driver that will allow force feedback to work on your Microsoft Sidewinder ( Best classic joystick )

Great flight-sim, awesome music, still a favourite.
Superb game, the audio/visual content of the virtual museum is amazing, and that's before you get to the actual flying. Large mod community kept this great game playable long after its initial release.
