I bought this hard drive to add to my storage arsenal during a time when I was having hard drive trouble and needed something bigger than what I had to offload everything onto. The seller was generous to sell it to me preformatted in a genuine NTFS file system allowing me to make all the transfers immediately without having to format first. The drive is also free of filesystem errors and other defects. I'm hoping the seller has more for me so I can start phasing out the rest of my arsenal and replacing it with new.
For quite a long time I have used Western Digital drives. That's the reason I chose this one. Of course now there is color code describing quality and performance. While I could have chosen a larger capacity drive, I took this 160G drive for several reason. One is, with larger drives, when it comes time to scan for virus or clean up etc, the process is to hard to bare. This for me was a good buy. However, at times, the reason why people sell their used PC parts becomes evident after a while. I am content with it.
I bought this hard drive and got exactly what was advertised. It is a 160GB SATA hard drive. These seem to be used as evidenced by dust in the cracks. Mine arrived broken (classic clicking of a read head that cannot track on the disk), but I contacted Red Door Tech and they sent me a working one immediately. The price was good for what I got.

I purchased this WD 160gb hard drive for an upgrade for my Dell Optiplex 745. The hard drive was received inclosed in a antistatic bag, and as clean as a brand new hard drive. It booted up perfectly without a hitch and runs super "quiet". This is best Hard Drive i have ever bought. WD Caviar Blue is the way to go folks.
Bought this thing used for $10, it runs Windows great! No stutters in the operating system, and it is barely audible. Western digital makes great drives!

The WD Caviar Blue 160GB SATA-300 works great. It was put on an old computer to get some life out of the computer using Linux.
