Reviews
Time Out - Ringan Ledwidge makes effective use of both claustrophobic interiors and stark landscapes: whether the characters are trapped in the sweaty confines of the car or framed against big skies, we share their growing sense of separation. Gone but not forgotten.
Additional Information
While on his way to meet his girlfriend Sophie (Amelia Warner, AEON FLUX), English backpacker Alex (Shaun Evans, THE BOYS FROM COUNTY CLARE) meets a friendly and enigmatic American drifter called Taylor (Scott Mechlowicz, EUROTRIP) in Sydney. After a night of heavy drinking, Taylor offers Alex a ride to Byron, where he meets up with Sophie. The couple decide to take Taylor up on his offer of a drive through the Outback. As the journey goes on, Alex becomes more and more suspicious of Taylor and his interest in Sophie. However, Taylor has something in his possession that could threaten Alex and SophieÆs relationship. Former commercials director Ringan Ledwidge makes an impressive and gorgeous looking debut feature film with GONE. The filmÆs plot combines elements of WOLF CREEK, DEAD CALM, and Roman PolanskiÆs KNIFE IN THE WATER and Ledwidge expertly controls the tension levels by providing a long and edgy build up to the terror that eventually occurs in this psychological thriller.

I was half convinced this was a scam due to the price, but it came through in perfect condition, English language, well packaged. Was 2 days later than expected, but the store owner emailed me to explain why it was late and provided updated tracking. 5/5 I will use this seller again in the future.

  • The way ebaying should be be

I caught a little of this film when it was on TV and it left me wanting more great plot and acting was phenominal but the ending was open ended.

  • Gone DVD

At first I thought this movie was going to be excellent and along the lines of Wolf Creek. However, although very watchable, it was not at all scary. I quite wanted all the characters to die by the end! I did find myself thinking about the film quite a lot after watching it, because in some ways it was quite believeable. I have been quite put off going to Australia because in all the Australia based films I watch everyone seems to die a horrible death! Worth a go.

  • GONE DVD

I WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE WHO RECOMMENDED ABOUT THIS DVD. I DECIDED TO BUY AND SEE FOR MY SELF. IT WAS NAIL BITING THRILLING FILM FROM THE BEGINING TO THE END. ONLY THING IS I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT THE ACTORS. THEY ARE NOT THAT GOOD BUT THE KILLER WAS BRILLIANT. FORTUNATELY THE STORY MADE VERY GOOD SO YOU COULDN T NOTICE THE ACTORS CANNOT ACT. DESPITE THE ACTORS THE FILM IS WORTH WATCHING..

  • Gone- Australia Road Trip Goes Wrong

Not quite what you would expect from the cover of the dvd. Was thinking would be more of a horror film like Wolf Creek. Took a long time to get to any action which was pretty good, ie right near end!!

  • Excellent!

Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Definately worth watching! It's a bit like Wolf Creek-ish. One of thos efilms you can keep watching over, and not get bored with it lol. Nice one! xx
