Best "old school" analog multimeter!
I've been an electronic hobbyist since the late 1950s, and the Simpson 260 Series 6 is my all-time favorite multimeter. It's straightforward, easy to use and extremely well made. The clear analog meter scale and range switches are logical and easy to read - much better than many newer digital readout products. Unlike some of the later versions of the 260, the series 6 has standard banana plug sockets, so you can use your favorite test leads. This unit is built with rotary switches and controls, with individual components mounted on a circuit board, so calibration and service are simple. My on;y complaint about this model is the lack of a Rx100K resistance range, which makes it difficult to check high resistance values.
