Great purchase!
My old CX5000 printer required a repair. Rather than spending money for an expensive fix, I was able to find the same printer on EBay, for under 23 dollars, plus shipping of 17 dollars. It was a great find and saved me much aggravation. The Ebay printer arrived quickly and worked beautifully. Needless to say, I was thrilled with my purchase!

Great Printer
I think this is one of the best purchases I ever made. It prints fast and clean. It copies the same way, and there is a B/W or color mode for this. It also scans awesome, determining somehow just how large or small the thing is you are scanning and then making sure the image that comes out on your computer does not have a lot of empty space around it. When a ribbon goes dry, it not only tells you which ribbon on the computer, but has an arrow that points to the ribbon on the printer itself. Speaking of ribbons, you can get them fairly cheap on eBay. If there is a downside, it is only that the printer takes a while to print the first thing you tell it to after you turn it on. But I am pretty sure this is the way most printers are these days. Not real sure why. Anyhow, all this plus ... I think this is one of the best purchases I ever made. It prints fast and clean. Sorry about the guy below who had problems, but I am pretty sure Epson has a warranty against things like that regardless of where you buy it. Anyhow, I have owned and used a huge variety of printers since the early eighties and this is by far my favorite for home use.

Impressive CD printer
In this printer Epson has produced an excellent machine that prints crisp CD labels directly on printable CDs. It does a fine job of that, as well as commendable normal printing. The main drawback is that you have to scan the CD image from a different machine because this one isn't an all-in-one model. Minor, but irksome. Also, the inks are pricey--but there are now continuous ink systems available for it which I'm hoping will address that problem.In this printer Epson has produced an excellent machine that prints crisp CD labels directly on printable CDs. A great all-in-one printer
This is kind of easy printer to use. Software is available online. I love it because scan function shows A4 size not like other scaner just shows exactly size of the pictures.

Mistake
I bought 2 of these - one for each of my sons as Christmas presents. Both printers had problems within just a few months. My subsequent research revealed these printers go through ink extremely fast, making them expensive, not to mention the operational problems I read about. Turned out we had the same problems and went through ink way too fast. There are too many printers out there to settle for this one. My Epson 600 from several years ago is still chugging away, but the CX5000 is to be avoided.I bought 2 of these - one for each of my sons as Christmas presents.
